This month, Lü is introducing a brand-new application designed for children aged 5 to 8, where they can embark on an extraordinary adventure tracking down fantastic animals.
Our team takes great pride in the development of this innovative and unprecedented application for the Lü interactive wall projector, where students are invited to explore a variety of locomotor actions during their quest.
Alex’s Quest
When developing our applications, we always aim to create engaging and motivating learning environments that provide opportunities for specific experimentation and physical challenges that can be applied in various contexts.
In Quëst, students embark on an exciting adventure with Alex to rescue a magnificent animal lost in mystical lands. To do so, they must advance through the levels, observe each landscape, and select a locomotor action to overcome the obstacles presented. Depending on the target audience, the option to choose a locomotor action can be removed to offer a simpler and more consistent experience for all children.
Through the activities provided, participants can act independently, build self-confidence, and enhance their perseverance.
After all players have cast their votes, Alex can then navigate the obstacles. The participants’ votes will determine Alex’s actions, as his movement will be adjusted based on the most popular choice.

Developing Physical Literacy with Quëst
Numerous studies indicate that the development of motor skills is the foundation of a physically active lifestyle and promotes the overall development of children and adolescents (Lubans et al., 2010). Moreover, locomotor actions are part of the fundamental motor skills that enable the development of students’ physical literacy.
Quëst allows for the development of the physical dimension through mastery of these locomotor actions (walking, jogging, running, skipping, galloping, crawling, jumping, hopping), all in a playful spirit.

Several studies (Breslin et al., 2008; Logan et al., 2012; Wassenberg, 2005) demonstrate that the ability to perform coordinated motor activities positively influences reading readiness. This positions our application as a flagship tool in achieving our mission: Children Ready to Succeed.
Furthermore, Quëst allows students to experiment with spatial organization, move by determining available space, and identify landmarks. These are all useful and transferable skills in many sports and activities.
To put it briefly, this application will become one of your favorites for children aged 5 to 8.
