Dear Educators,

One day about 5 years ago, I realized that my young daughters were about to start school in a building that had barely changed since I was a kid. While their teachers were passionate and brought innovative pedagogical approaches, the classrooms and gymnasiums looked the same as two decades ago.

That got me thinking about how to create a new type of teaching space.

That’s when I came across the brilliant idea of a phys ed teacher who had improvised a seemingly “interactive”’ wall with an iPad and projector. Together with my colleague Simon, I set out to make that interactive vision a reality. Within a few weeks we demonstrated a prototype at a local school. When a video we uploaded received nearly a million views and journalists from around the world reached out to schedule interviews, Lü was born.

Today more than 900 Lü systems and 50 educational modules are in use at schools in 32 countries, creating magical moments for more than one million K12 students.

Which brings me to the global Lü Challenge. Unlike the previous three Lü Championships, which put academics front and center, this new annual event is focused on physical skills and strategy — and above all letting kids work off some energy before the Holidays!

The Challenge will coincide with the launch of a new app called Wäll. Beginning December 8, your students will be able to practice this game, build teams, and compete against their counterparts in over 40 schools around the world, from the United States to Korea. In addition, all schools will receive FREE access to the Lü+ premium features and apps for the entire month of December.

In case you wish to spread the word, feel free to use our event hashtag #luchallenge2021 and tag us!

I wish your entire school the best of luck in this competition, and the very best for the holiday season!
