In December of 2022, innovation sparked within the halls of the Iowa City Community School District – What if we could extend the integration of educational technology beyond the confines of traditional classrooms? With the help of our partner Bluum, that vision became a reality for the school district, now standing at the forefront of a groundbreaking shift.

In the heart of Hawkeye Country, home to the University of Iowa, lies a vibrant learning hub known as the Iowa City Community School District. Serving a diverse student body of approximately 14,000 from five municipalities—North Liberty, Iowa City, Coralville, University Heights, and Hills—the district stands as a beacon of educational opportunity.

Prior to Lü's intervention, the Iowa City Community School District grappled with a significant obstacle: the absence of standardized technology solutions, particularly evident in often overlooked physical education spaces.

It started with meticulous gymnasium assessments, factoring in lighting, wall space, and existing obstacles. Gradual implementation followed suit, starting with warm-ups, skill practice, and interactive activities. These initiatives, coupled with comprehensive teacher orientation sessions, paved the way toward Lü's integration.
As a result, educators were able to embrace Lü as a part of daily engagement. Moreover, by blending physical activity with interactive learning experiences, Lü not only helped accommodate diverse modes of knowledge acquisition but also enhanced student participation and comprehension.
